I Am Ruth - A Story of Loss and Redemption
Entreat me not to leave you,
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”
Or to turn back from following after you;
For wherever you go, I will go;
And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
And your God, my God.
Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The Lord do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”
Ruth 1:15-17
I was provided a copy of I Am Ruth by Kenneth Berg and Brenda Duff for an honest review of the book.
Ruth is one of my favorite books of the Bible. So when I was given the opportunity to review this book I was so excited!
The book is hardbound and has a beautiful cover! The illustrations inside are beautifully arranged and the photography used is outstanding. When we got the book in the mail, my husband actually thought that this was a book that went along with a movie due to the photography.
The text of the book tells a detailed and beautiful account of one of the best loved love stories in the Old Testament. As you read, you can sense the grief from their loss and then the excitement as they are offered redemption.
I Am Ruth is a well written, beautifully arranged book and would make a great addition to your library. I would love to see other stories of the Bible arranged in a book of this fashion.
